Locate and remove the 5 amp HWH fuse on the Newmar electrical panel.

(Access door for this panel is on the exterior of the coach below the driver’s side window.)

Disable the step module (MIOM) before manually operating the step.

First locate the black 8-pin connector and unplug it.

Note:  the module (MIOM) is located in the first compartment behind the steps.

Note:  Disabling the step module as described will not affect the operation of the HWH Leveling System or HWH Slide-Outs.

RETRACT STEP

Locate the remote manifold for the step system (there are two manifolds above the power unit, the one closest to the fire wall should be for the step) and move the flipper/cam release lever to open the retract (RET) valve.

Locate the “pump run” switch mounted on the hydraulic power unit, push and hold the toggle switch to the power unit.  The step should retract.

EXTEND STEP

Locate the remote manifold for the step system (there are two manifolds above the power unit, the one closest to the fire wall should be for the step) and move the flipper/cam release lever to open the extend (EXT) valve.

Locate the “pump run” switch mounted on the hydraulic power unit, push and hold the toggle switch to the power unit.  The step should extend.

IF STEP DOES NOT RETRACT USING POWER UNIT

1.  Open EXTEND & RETRACT SOLENOID VALVES.

2.  Physically push step in.

3.  Close EXTEND & RETRACT SOLENOID VALVES.

4.  Secure step so that it can’t come out going down the road.

Locate and reinstall the 5 amp HWH fuse on the Newmar electrical panel.

(Access door for this panel is on the exterior of the coach below the driver’s side window.)

Note:  Do not reconnect the black 8-pin connector at this time.
