Locate and remove the 5 amp HWH
fuse on the Newmar electrical panel.
(Access door for this panel is on
the exterior of the coach below the driver’s side window.)

Disable the step module (MIOM)
before manually operating the step.
First locate the black 8-pin
connector and unplug it.
Note: the module (MIOM) is located in the first
compartment behind the steps.

Note: Disabling the step module as described will
not affect the operation of the HWH Leveling System or HWH Slide-Outs.

|
RETRACT STEP
|
|
Locate the remote manifold for the
step system (there are two manifolds above the power unit, the one closest to
the fire wall should be for the step) and move the flipper/cam release lever
to open the retract (RET) valve.
|
|
Locate the “pump run” switch
mounted on the hydraulic power unit, push and hold the toggle switch to the
power unit. The step should retract.

EXTEND STEP
|
Locate the remote manifold for the
step system (there are two manifolds above the power unit, the one closest to
the fire wall should be for the step) and move the flipper/cam release lever
to open the extend (EXT) valve.
|
Locate the
“pump run” switch mounted on the hydraulic power unit, push and hold the
toggle switch to the power unit. The
step should extend.

IF STEP
DOES NOT RETRACT USING POWER UNIT
1.
Open EXTEND & RETRACT SOLENOID VALVES.
2.
Physically push step in.
3.
Close EXTEND & RETRACT SOLENOID VALVES.
4.
Secure step so that it can’t come out going down the road.

Locate and reinstall the 5 amp HWH
fuse on the Newmar electrical panel.
(Access door for this panel is on
the exterior of the coach below the driver’s side window.)
Note: Do not reconnect the black 8-pin connector
at this time.
